To infuse your spirit with botanicals and serve your Gin
That’s enough juniper berries, coriander seeds and other herbs & spices, to make four bottles of fantastic Gin
A section of fine muslin and a grip band, used to strain out the botanicals after each infusion
I have always been particularly curious, from taking locks out of doors and fixing/breaking all manner of kit around the house. These days I am a hobbyist who likes nothing more than dabbling in home-brewing beer, wine and hard apple cider. Also, I Gin, from the spice of a London Dry, to the fruit bursting flavour of sloe Gin. Gin is really versatile and forms the base of some of the worlds’ most delicious cocktails.
I reckon Gingredients started when i visited a Gin distillery and learned that most gin distilleries use something called neutral spirit, which is, basically, just flavourless vodka which Gin distillers use at 95%abv, which is compounded with juniper and other botanicals, rectified and cut with water to bottle strength. After my visit i rushed home to get to work!
Here’s what happened! I discovered it’s really fun to make and expirement with juniper berries and lots of other botanicals, I spent many months doing different macerations and infusions and of course trying out new recipes on very willing friends…This is why I created the Gingredients Kit.
I have created a kit so you can make Gin without a still (as most of you dont have a still in your shed) and by adding vodka or flavourless spirit…Gingredients includes all that’s necessary to make your very own Gin.
